Mountain Biking
This has always been one of my favorite Mountain Biking shots, mainly because it is of my son, Tom. He was willing to work with me in trying to come up with a creative photo. To create this motion blur I moved the zoom ring on the lens during the exposure. We had fun that day.

How long was the exposure for this photograph and which zoom lens did you use? I keep trying this technique and not getting very good results.

For this image I used a 70-300 Zoom Lens and don’t recal the exposure. I had bright daylight so in order to get a slow shutter speed I used a polarizer. This shot was taken using slide film, Fuji Velvia which has an ISO speed of 50. Thanks for your comment and keep experimenting with motion shots.
