I realize the train tracks are a huge distraction, but Bobcats in the wild are pretty neat, sometimes you take what you can get.

This really made my day. For years I have wanted to photograph a Bobcat in the wild, this morning I spotted a Female Bobcat and 3 kittens. I wasn’t able to get all 4 cats facing the camera at the same time. Pretty cool having these 2 pose for me.

Bull Moose in Glacier National Park.

Sunrise at Swiftcurrent Creek in Glacier National Park.

A perfect morning at Fishercap Lake in Glacier National Park. Even with the large numbers of tourists in the park only a small number actually venture off on the trails in the park. In Glacier it is recommended that you do not hike alone, and be on the lookout for bears, currently there are many in the area feeding on berries and several popular trails are closed, be sure to check current information at the Ranger Station before heading into the backcountry.

Kantishna Cabin
Our retirement cabin, well not exactly. This is in Kantishna which is at the end of the road in Denali National Park, it was actually a Recorders office for the local miners.

Same Old Road
Looking through older images I had forgotten about this one from Gustavus, Alaska. I had taken my backpack and boarded the Alaska Ferry in Juneau heading to Glacier Bay National Park, In Gustavus my only option for a rental vehicle was “Bud’s Rent A Wreck”. That’s exactly what it was, the astray was overflowing with cigarette butts, the windows wouldn’t roll up thus a car full of bugs, the drivers door would not shut so when making right hand turns I had to hold onto the door handle, door locks didn’t work, windshield hadn’t been washed in 5 years. You get the idea. Regardless I had a fantastic time and highly recommend Glacier Bay National Park.
